Want to learn more about catching, harvesting and enjoying a sustainable meal of fresh Idaho trout? Be sure to check out the Foodfort event “Trout Talk: From Sustainable Fishing to the Perfect Sear,” happening at noon Friday, September 24, in the JUMP Share Studio in downtown Boise. Tight Lines 208 owner Jordan Rodriguez will lead the panel discussion, which will also include Chef Marcus Bonilla of Reel Foods Fish Market, Joe Kozfkay of Idaho Fish and Game and a representative from Riverence, which raises trout in southern Idaho. Foodfort is part of the Treefort Music Festival—for tickets and info, visit www.treefortmusicfest.com.
A Treefort ticket is not required to attend Trout Talk—the event is free and open to the public. It will also be broadcast on the giant TV screen outside JUMP for guests to sit and watch outside. Treefort is asking attendees to wear masks and go through the Treefort Covid safety pre-check prior to entering JUMP.
